Wow, one week and 1,000+ pageviews later, and we are at our second video for the new site: Caitlyn Mirete! Caitlyn is a Seattle native, recently transplanted in San Francisco. She is one of the founding members of the Songwriters' Collective, and is a gifted community builder, not to mention lyricist! It's shocking to find out she hasn't been writing songs for very long, since she is able to spin you in a web of stories with the sweet lullaby sound of her voice. As of right now, she does not have a site for her music, but please feel free to write comments on this post asking her to!

IMBS: Who is your favorite lyricist?
CM: M. Ward

IMBS: How do you go about writing your music?
CM: I try to write short stories with three or four chords (because I'm not very good at the guitar). They're not often true stories but they usually start while I'm thinking about one of my friends.

IMBS: What are your top 5 desert island albums?
CM: You & Me by The Walkmen; The Slider by T. Rex; Transfiguration of Vincent by M. Ward; Was Dead by King Tuff; Disraeli Gears by Cream.
