Kyle and Hannah Skelton are one of my all-time favorite couples, and it's a beautiful bonus that they also literally make beautiful music together! This video was film in March, the first to be filmed in my new bedroom, and was the inspiration for moving the videos over from my personal blog, to its own site. At this point, neither (nor together) have a band page, but I assure you, I will promote it to no end when they do. Right now both are in a stage of writing really gorgeous songs and preparing to release at least one album in the near future.
Not only are they married, working and making music, but they are also currently trying to build some musical community here in San Francisco! They began a group called the Songwriters' Collective, that meets every other week in either the Skeltons' apartment or one of the other members' homes. They pass around the guitar and play the songs that are either completed or are in need of help from the group. It's a great way to spend an evening, and I'm lucky enough to attend as a non-musician. Between their efforts and the efforts of this site, we are hoping to build a more supportive musician community in San Francisco, similar (hopefully!) to the scene in Seattle.
