I was connected with the Seattle-based folk Americana duo, The Local Strangers through another performer from this site, Kris Orlowski. (I'm beginning to think this site will mostly feature San Francisco and Seattle musicians!) The Local Strangers is made up of Aubrey Zoli on vocals and Matt Hart on guitar and vocals. The IMBS video editor Rob Goc praised her voice for being angelic, which paired with his soft finger picking makes their sound appear to be sleepy folk, but when they aren't playing in my bedroom, they have a powerful Americana twang. Check out their single "Hunted by Ghosts" for an example of her voice at full force with his banjo and guitar.

You can download their EP for free off of their site and should definitely "like" them on facebook page. Since they just recently toured the west coast, they will mostly only be performing shows in the pacific northwest, but check out their sites for future tour information! If you are located in the Seattle area, they are playing a show THIS Friday at Q Cafe starting at 8pm ($8) with the Eric Miller Band and Luke Messimer.

You can see from their interview video below, that not only is this band talented, they are also a pair of wonderful people:
